Serving Trevor
When Trevor Matthews was diagnosed with cancer, his friends, church, and community rallied to serve him and his family through the difficult time, but in the end it was Trevor who served them and taught them valuable lessons in life.
ABOUT THE VIDEO
I was approached to produce a documentary about Trevor Matthews to premiere at a local church youth conference with the theme of Service. There was no budget available for the production. A photographer created the studio setting in her home and her husband ran sound.
Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley Corporate Solicitation
This video was created to solicit donations and sponsorships from our corporate friends and partners.

I would regularly interview club members and their parents to gather compelling clips for use at our events or other promotional materials.
Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley 40th Anniversary
This slideshow was created to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the club at a fundraising event.

The majority of the effort was spent in gathering and scanning the photographs.
Club Santa Visits in 2013
Every holiday season, the club staff identify families in need of assistance. We then provide a tree, personalized gifts, and food. Donors can provide gift items, food, and/or cash gifts to help us each year. The club then schedules Santa to come by with his helpers to deliver the gifts to the unsuspecting children.
ABOUT THE VIDEO
These videos are some of the most meaningful projects we do at the club and help us to raise funds during the holidays. There are challenges in the homes of these families that are not always anticipated. Size and condition of the home and the amount of lighting will always impact the video quality, yet the emotional impact is still present.
Boys & Girls Club Auction 2015
During the middle of our annual live auction event, we take a moment to solicit cash donations only, no merchandise. We raised $60,000 in about 10 minutes after showing this video and reminding the guests what all of this is for.

There was very little time to produce the video this year, so we gathered the membership photos of our youth and put together a slideshow and added a beautiful song by David Archuleta.
Our Auction Chairs introduce the 2010 Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley Benefit Auction
Jay Thomas, President of Six Flags Magic Mountain, and his lovely wife Ashley, chaired our benefit auction in 2010 with the theme, Born to Be Wild. Here they have a little fun introducing the theme to our guests that evening.
ABOUT THE VIDEO
Jay wanted to have some fun at the beginning of the auction and we created this video to introduce the theme. One of the auction items was a Harley Davidson motorcycle which is referenced in the video.

ABOUT THE VIDEO
For my senior project I wrote and directed this 16mm film. My budget was $5,000 and was staffed by fellow film students at BYU. I received a little recognition for it at a student film festival, and it played a few times on public access channels. I'm most proud of the fact that for 5 years the film was shown almost daily at Palm Springs General Hospital as part of their hospice programs for terminal patients and their families. I look back at this now and cringe at some of the decisions that were made, but overall, I'm very proud of what was accomplished for so little, as well as the impact it had on so many. Maybe one day I can spring for a decent digital transfer from the film.
2009 First Pitch at Dodger Stadium
Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was invited to throw out the first pitch at the annual event.
ABOUT THE VIDEO
One of the largest and longest-standing community events at Dodger Stadium is Mormon Night. For the last several years I have been asked to produce a dvd for the visiting dignitary that documents their visit. I work with a number of photographers to document the pregame ceremonies and put it all together and package the final dvds for distribution.

The interviews with the club members are unscripted and candid. This young man's remarks were particularly compelling.
